Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken

This recipe is perfect if you want a super easy meal to serve a crowd or serve yourself all week! You can add it to salads, bowls, wraps, pizzas, etc. We like to serve ours over a classic salad with some freshly diced celery, tomatoes, cucumber, and Primal Kitchen's ranch dressing.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken

Servings: 6


  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 cups Franks Red Hot

  • 1 white or yellow onion (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish


  1. Peel, wash, and quarter the onion.

  2. If using a slow cooker... Place the chicken in the slow cooker first, then cover with remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

  3. If using an InstantPot... There is no need for the rack. Place the chicken in first, then cover with remaining ingredients. Cook at high pressure for 15 minutes.

  4. Once done, remove the chicken breasts and shred them with a fork.
